It’s easy to get stuck in a feeling.
We are so used to feeling one feeling (relatively numb) that the idea of feeling another way is SCARY. Even if that current feeling is not pleasant to us.
One of the best ways to get closer to doing meaningful work is to observe your internal compass. For some, that compass may be a voice or a feeling in their gut and for others it may come from prayer. The point is, if you just get yourself in a position to receive the messages of your mind, body, and soul, perhaps you can start building an awareness. An awareness: that is the start of a whole new journey.
It’s simple to get caught up in a relationship that was designed to expire weeks, months, years, or decades ago.
It’s simple to get caught up in a job where your growth had ended once upon a time.
It’s simple to stick with a habit that is decaying your body at speeds beyond the natural cycle.
But you say, “Ohhhh… it feels oh sooo good, because it is sooo familiar.”
So… Want to do meaningful work?
Listen to yourself.
Are you doing meaningful work?
Are you passing on your purpose for others to receive & share?
More importantly, are you gifting your purpose to people who deserve to receive it?
Sometimes you just need to listen.
As a matter of fact, you always need to listen.
It will require listening to the noise in your mind.
It will require listening to the silence in your mind.
Sometimes self-reflection can be a real bitch, because you don’t want to know the truth.
The truth is scarier than the idea of being uncomfortable, and so being uncomfortable becomes the lens through which you look to see the world. It’s not possible to share your purpose with the world if you are in a state of dis-ease.
I’m ready for you to start feeling the truth. As a matter of fact, I can’t wait for you to start feeling the truth. Your truth. Once you experience your truth, that’s when the love, the creativity, and the sexy work can begin.
How are you feeling?
