The Legacy Show #005 – ‘What Do I Want To Be When I Grow Up?’
The Legacy Show is designed to have accomplished individuals share stories of their joys and struggles on their path to success. The decisions and the opportunities they took advantage of to get to where they are today. They too are mortal and that they too want to bring #KickAss to the world.
The 5th show is entitled
‘What Do I Want To Be When I Grow Up?’
– This show will highlight the stories of influential guest speakers and their respective, untraditional journeys. Aspirations change even when we’ve reached an atypical age to have a change of mind. Come, listen and be inspired!
Tickets are only $5 with all sales going to “She’s The First” – https://www.shesthefirst.org/
I love putting on these shows because it gives the audience a chance to see first-hand that doing meaningful work is not only possible but also necessary to have a fulfilling life while here on earth. Tickets to the 5th Legacy show will be $5 but will all go to She’s The First – an organization that provides education to girls whose opportunities are extremely limited.
It’s my goal in life to create a positive ripple on everyone in the world one way or another. That’s a tall order, I know, but I accept the mission.
If you’ve missed past shows or missed the emails with the replays, you can watch the most recent show here.

This month’s speakers include:
Jordan Matter (Photographer – ‘Dancers Among Us’)
Jordan never planned to be a professional photographer. It was either baseball or acting that was going to be his obvious career choice. But one day he attended an exhibit by photojournalist Henri Cartier-Bresson. His attitude began to change. Cartier-Bresson’s images of humanity moved Jordan to learn how to photograph people intimately. Soon it became a hobby. Then it became a passion. But it only became a career when he decided to outdo photos for his friend who had just paid too much for bad headshots. He did. Her agents soon sent Jordan their clients, who in turn recommended him to their friends, and a photography career was born. The Today Show, Tyra Banks, MSNBC, CBS, NBC and the BBC have since profiled Jordan. Read more
Tammy Tibbetts (Founder/CEO of ‘She’s The First’)
Tammy oversees the strategic planning, communications & PR, campaign management, and business development for She’s the First. She is a frequent public speaker and regularly keynotes events for corporate leaders, students, and philanthropists.
At age 23, Tammy had an idea for a social media-driven campaign that would inspire Millennial women to fundraise for girls’ education in low-income countries. She shared her idea for She’s the First with a Facebook friend, Christen Brandt. On November 1, 2009, they launched it in the form of a YouTube video. That one video became a movement that now reaches millions and has sponsored more than 1,200 years of girls’ education. Read more
