Video Blog #002: Your Crappy Attitude
I made a video for you about having a crappy attitude. Here it is:
If you want to buy a pizza for dinner, you are going to focus on all the places in your local area that make pizza. You won’t even see all the Chinese restaurants in your area; no wonton soup is in your future.
If you want to get a new puppy, you are going to focus on puppies everywhere. You won’t even take note of all the kitties that are being given away for free; no Meow Mix is in your future.
The same goes for ATTITUDE.
You can focus on everything you don’t have in your life.
You can focus on all the bad mojo that is happening in the world.
You can focus on all the negativity you are surrounded by.
If that’s where your focus lies, then that’s exactly what you are going to get: More crappy attitude.
Now there’s the flipside to this.
You can focus on everything you do have in your life.
You can focus on all the good things that are happening in the world.
You can focus on the positivity you are surrounded by.
If that’s where your focus lies, then that’s exactly what you will get: More good shiznizzle.
I’ve said it before and am dishing it to you again:
Gratitude is an attitude.
Attitude is a skill.
Skill is a habit.
A habit can be learned.
Are You Simply a Negative Person?
You might say you are simply a negative person. That’s fine if you are happy staying there; I’m not going to stop you. However, if you start looking at attitude as a skill and focus on building that skill, then you have to make the decision to focus on what you are grateful for in your life. Then slowly over time, you will build the new habit of seeing what you DO have.
Most importantly, if you want to make good shiznizzle happen and want to leave amazing shizznizzle behind for other people, the fastest way to do that is to focus on what you already do have. Very quickly you will start to spot the tools you DO have and you will be able to make things happen with the things that you DO possess in your life.
Stop obsessing about the fact that someone has more crayons than you.
Just make amazing shiznizzle happen.
